This page describes exactly what this website collects, why, and who else sees it.
It covers this website only. If you call us, or contact us through Facebook or
Instagram, that is covered by whatever those services do.
What we collect
Nothing is collected until you actually send something. You can browse the whole
menu, build a plate and fill the cart without giving us anything.
| When | What | Why |
| You send an order |
Your name, phone number, your email address if you give us one, the items you
chose, any notes, and your delivery address if you asked for delivery |
To cook the right food and get it to you, and to keep a record of the sale |
| You request catering |
The above, plus your email, the event date and time, and roughly how many
people |
To quote the job and confirm the date |
| You type a delivery address |
What you type in the address box |
To suggest real addresses, and to price the delivery |
| Any request |
Your IP address, briefly |
To stop automated abuse of the ordering form. Discarded within the hour |
If we run a loyalty scheme
When loyalty is switched on, we keep a count of how many orders your phone number
has placed and what you have spent, so we can tell you when you have earned a
reward. It is tied to your phone number and nothing else, and you can ask us to
delete it at any time. Looking up your own count at checkout does not sign you up
for anything.
Marketing texts
At checkout there is a box you can tick to get occasional deals by text or email. It
starts empty, ticking it is entirely up to you, and it is never required in
order to place an order. If you do tick it we keep a record of when you did and the
exact wording you agreed to, which is what lets us prove the messages were asked
for. Reply STOP to any message to stop them for good.
If you never tick that box, your number is used to cook and deliver your order and
for nothing else.
What stays on your own device
Your cart is stored in your own browser and is never sent to us until
you choose to send an order. Clearing your browser data removes it. It does not follow
you to another phone or computer.
Who else sees it
Four other companies are involved, and only in the moment you use the feature that
needs them.
- Square. Every order is paid by card through Square. Card details are typed into Square's own secure form and go straight to Square, so this website never sees your card number. Your name, phone number, the items you ordered and, for a delivery, your address are also sent to Square so the order reaches the kitchen's till. Square's privacy policy applies to that.
- Google. When you type a delivery address, what you type is sent to
Google Places so it can suggest real addresses. Google's privacy policy applies to
that.
- Uber and DoorDash. When a delivery is priced, the collection address and your
delivery address are sent to Uber Direct and to DoorDash Drive to get a quote, and your phone
number is sent to DoorDash Drive with them. Your phone number is not kept with the quote. Once the kitchen
confirms, those addresses, your name and your phone number are sent to whichever of the two takes
the delivery, to send a driver. Their privacy policies apply to that.
If you choose delivery, the delivery partner may also text you updates about your delivery using
that phone number. You are asked to agree to that before you order.
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, who process requests on our behalf.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
- There are no advertising trackers, no analytics pixels and no third-party cookies
on this site.
- We do not text or email you marketing unless you have separately and clearly
agreed to it. Ordering food is not agreeing to marketing.
- If you give us an email address when you order, we use it to send you one email: your receipt and
the link to follow your order. It is sent through Resend, the email service that delivers it for us.
- Card details are typed into Square's own secure form on this site and go straight to
Square. We never see, store or handle your card number.
Cookies
This site sets one cookie, and only for staff: a sign-in cookie for the kitchen's own
menu tools. It is not used for tracking and ordinary customers never receive it. There
is no advertising or analytics cookie, which is why you have not been asked to dismiss
a cookie banner.
How long we keep it
Order and catering records are kept for up to two years as a record
of the business's sales, then deleted. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
Your rights in California
California residents can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about
you, to delete it, or to correct it. We do not sell personal information, so there is
nothing to opt out of on that front. Ask by phone or email using the details below and
we will respond within the time the law allows. We will not treat you differently for
asking.
Children
This site is for ordering food and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not
knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is
updated.
